During the anti-doping system for the Tokyo Games, both the trial and punishment will be independent of the IOC. The Anti-Doping Department (CAS ADD) of the ITA and Sports Arbitration will deal with these matters. The ITA said it plans to collect about 5,000 urine and blood samples during and after the Games in collaboration with Tokyo and the Japan Anti-Doping Agency (JADA).
