Triad Combat is billed as a new martial art where boxers and MMA fighters compete against each other. The idea of the Triad Combat rulebook is to balance the advantages between the two types of martial arts athletes.

The event is led by former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir and 28-2 professional boxer Kubrat Pulev. It is the second time that Mir has boxed and the second time that he has participated in a trill event. He boxed former IBF cruiserweight champion Steve Cunningham during the Jake Paul vs. Ben Askren undercard and lost by unanimous decision.

Two other ex-UFC stars are also on the menu. Matt Mitrione will face Alexander Flores and “Platinum” Mike Perry will face Michael Seals. These are both Mitrione and Perry’s first fights with Triller.

Mitrione last competed against Tyrell Fortune in Bellator in July 2021 and was submitted in the first round. Perry’s last game was in the UFC against Daniel Rodriguez in April 2021. He dropped a unanimous decision.
