MIAMI, Nov. 24 (UPI) – Austin Ekeler, Joe Mixon, David Montgomery, Nick Chubb and Jonathan Taylor top my fantasy football running back leaderboard for week 12 for 2021.

Christian McCaffrey, Ezekiel Elliott, D’Andre Swift, Najee Harris, and Dalvin Cook round out my top 10 options for week 12.

Antonio Gibson, Melvin Gordon, David Johnson and Tony Pollard are some of the other running backs to consider for your weekly lineup.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire and James Conner are among the players who Shouldn’t be on the grid as the Kansas City Chiefs and Arizona Cardinals receive week 12 bye tickets.

In addition to the elite names, there are many other running backs with great matchups available this week. Try to find a player who gets a lot of carries, passing goals, or goal line work and has a good matchup in week 12.

Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler tops my rankings in week 12. Ekeler went 115 yards after scrimmage and four touchdowns on 17 touches in a Week 11 win against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He ranks third among running backs in fantasy points per game, facing the Denver Broncos in Denver on Sunday.

The Broncos allowed just 105 yards from scrimmage to Boston Scott and 83 yards to Jordan Howard lost 11 in a week to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Look for Disgust to post another monster fantasy football performance and lead your team to a late season win.

Joe Mixon of the Cincinnati Bengals is my # 2 going back for week 12. Mixon broke for 123 yards and two scores to 30 carries out in the Bengals win in Week 11 against the Las Vegas Raiders. This week he faces the Steelers who just made Ekeler’s big day possible.

Mixon averages the second highest fantasy points per game among running backs in his last four games. He’s a near lock for at least 100 yards from scrimmage and a score in that matchup.

Antonio Gibson of Washington Football Team is my number 11 running back. Gibson ran for a season high of 95 yards in Week 11. He scored twice in week 10. This week Washington faces a defense for the Seattle Seahawks that allowed the third highest fantasy points per game to step down for 11 weeks.

The Seahawks also allowed just 99 yards to scrimmage and a score for the Arizona Cardinals who pushed James Conner back. Look for Gibson to post similar stats this week. He’s a low-end RB1 because of this great matchup.

Denver Broncos veteran Melvin Gordon is my number 13 in Week 12. Gordon has scored touchdowns in each of his last four games.

This week the Broncos are up a defense by the Los Angeles Chargers that made it possible to run 1,199 yards in the league for 11 weeks after having already done their goodbye.

The Chargers also allowed at least one touchdown to a running back in each of their last six games . Look for Gordon to get anywhere 100 yards from Scrimmage and find the end zone. It’s a low-end RB1 or high-end RB2 game.

David Johnson of the Houston Texans is one of my favorite sleeper pieces for Week 12. Johnson, my number 19 running back, won in Week 11 only hit 18 yards on the ground but hit a total of 13 carries in the season. He also caught three passes in the Texans win against the Tennessee Titans.

The Texans skipped the return from Phillip Lindsay earlier this week, which should lead to even more work for Johnson. The Texans will receive the New York Jets in Houston on Sunday. The Jets allowed the most Fantasy Points per game and the most touchdowns (21) to run for 11 weeks despite serving their bye.

Look for Johnson to get 15-20 touches in this matchup, which should result in 80-100 yards of scrimmage and provide RB2 / Flex value.

Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard is another Sleeper who should work his way up to fantasy football lineups in Week 12. Pollard, my # 29 option, will face the Las Vegas Raiders Thursday in Arlington, Texas.

The Raiders split by rolling back the fifth highest Fantasy Points per game over 11 weeks. Pollard appears second on the Cowboys’ depth map but continues to see a lot of work.

He could be even more deployed this week after starter Ezekiel Elliott sustained an injury in Week 11. Pollard, who won 70 yards from scrimmage on nine touches in week 11, should see 10 to 15 touches this week, which is what I’m expecting Cowboy’s blowout win.
