Frankie Bridge said she “boom” that she won’t have the pressure of having to take a jungle shower in a bikini while on I’m A Celebrity … get me out of here! due to the show’s relocation to a Welsh castle.
The program is returning to Gwrych Castle near Abergele in North Wales instead of its usual location in the Australian jungle, which means the shower after is laid inside and heated with a boiler.
The 32-year-old Saturdays singer said she also preferred the new location of the ITV show as it was closer to her two sons Parker and Carter.
#ImACeleb – it’s official! 🏰 Frankie goes to the castle @imacelebrity! We’re so excited to see how she is doing, but we are already missing her like crazy. We’re here to give you all the inside information! With love, Frank’s greatest cheerleader x pic.twitter.com/Y7dlo2LzfF
She said, “I swear I don’t have the pressure to go out in a bikini and shower on TV, so I’m perfectly fine with that.” / p> “But it still gets pretty entertaining because I think one of the campmates from last year will have to pump water at the same time.
Bridge is also following in the footsteps of her husband, former soccer player Wayne Bridge, who in 2016 in Australia participated in the program.
She said she experienced a mixture of “absolute terror and excitement” when she attended the show, but said her husband loved his experience, which made her curious to join.
Bridge added, “I’ve always been intrigued because I can’t see how the two things add up, all these scary challenges and yet come out and absolutely love it.
” For me, the fact is that it is in Wales when it is not is as warm as Australia, in the same country as my kids.
“So it seemed like a really good time doing it and not feeling like I’m for the guys on the other side of the world
“And I hope I won and the boys think I’m pretty cool.”
She said the separation from her two children and her husband was her “biggest stumbling block” to join the show and predicted she would shed some tears at the camp.
Bridge became famous as part of the girl band The Saturdays alongside Mollie King, Vanessa White, Una Healy and Rochelle Humes and said that viewers will see another side of her.
“I think now with them social media people see me more unvarnished and such. I’m very happy for that, “she said.
” I think it’ll be nice not really having to think about it, and I think if we’re in for a while you just won’t care.
“But I’m not worried unless I get a big, massive stain and then I’ll probably feel a little confident.”
