It’s been over a year since Yellowstone blew up practically half of our favorite Montana family, left their prodigal son in a shootout, and bleeding their patriarch to death by the roadside.
The wait for Season 4 has been long, and now that the series is set to return on November 7th, many fans might find watching the show just as excruciating. That’s because the way to actually watch Yellowstone season 4 – especially if you don’t have a cable – is about as intuitive as a bunkhouse game of cowboy poker. That means, it doesn’t make sense.
While the series is broadcast live on Paramount Network, it won’t be available on Paramount, ViacomCBS’s streaming service. (However, Paramount will be your home for the Yellowstone prequel series Y: 1883, which premieres December 19th.) The Paramount Network / Paramount confusion stems from previous distribution agreements between ViacomCBS and NBCUniversal’s Peacock, their Catalog includes seasons 1-3. It’s not yet clear when the fourth season of Yellowstone will air on Peacock. So you probably won’t be able to watch it there either – at least until the entire season airs.
The bottom line: If you don’t have a cable, you’re on the John Dutton Creek without a paddle.
For cable subscribers with Paramount Network access (which may not be included in every plan), Yellowstone Season 4 was really made for you: you can just turn on your TV and watch.
When you can watch on TV , but miss the date, you can log into Paramount Network (www.paramountnetwork.com) with your cable provider and watch TV.
But be careful: Paramount Network’s online site is not the same as Paramount. Right now, it doesn’t look like Yellowstone Season 4 will be available on Paramount.
If you don’t have a cable, you can buy any new episode after it airs on Amazon Prime Video.
Seasons 1-3 can be watched on Peacock or you can buy the season on Amazon Prime Video and other services. Again, if you have Paramount Network through your cable subscriber, you can stream selected episodes there as well.
