EM – John Lydon loses court case for Sex Pistols songs

Former Sex Pistols frontman lost a bitter high court fight with two former bandmates over using their songs in an upcoming television series.

John Lydon, better known as Johnny Rotten, had Paul Cook and Steve Jones accused of treating him as a “slave laborer” when they tried to use the songs in Pistol, a six-part series about the band.

The program, which is being produced by Disney and due to be shown next year, is directed by Danny Boyle, who did Trainspotting and Slumdog Millionaire, and is based on Jones’ 2016 memoir, Lonely Boy: Tales From A Sex Pistol.
