Mohamed Salah’s form and Virgil Van Dijk’s return from injury have helped Liverpool regain their best form (Joe Giddens/PA)

It’s a team full of world-class Talents, but the 11 players who make up the Premier League’s most valuable team will provoke much debate.
First of all, how can Liverpool’s defensive talisman Virgil van Dijk be absent from the current dream team, which also includes the presence of Spurs striker Harry Kane missing?
The explanation is that football statistics site Transfermarkt.co.uk rated players based on their market value, with younger players receiving a higher price tag than more experienced players and potential clearly a key consideration in this speculative game of fantasy football.
There is no doubt that Liverpool would be looking for more than £100m for Van Dijk if they put him up for sale tomorrow and Spurs turned down just that for Manchester City’s Kane last summer, but the duo don’t make the list published by Amazon Prime Sport.
Liverpool are well represented in the ‘Rich List’ side, with goalkeepers Alisson Becker, Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold in the line-up.
Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne is an obvious choice in a star-studded midfield that also includes West Ham’s Declan Rice.
Marcus Manchester United’s Rashford could be a controversial choice after his indifferent form last year and the only Chelsea player to make the list is Romelu Lukaku It remains to be seen whether West Ham would consider selling Rice for his £67.5m asking price, or whether Manchester United would sell Bruno Fernandes for £81m.
It all makes for interesting talking points as d he transfer window of this month has not yet caught fire.
