EM – Will the UK’s new hydrogen strategy lead to higher bills for consumers?

The government will spend just over £ 100 million to boost the UK’s hydrogen economy, which it hopes will become a major source of clean energy.

Hydrogen has long been considered the fuel of the future, as it can more easily replace fossil fuels in hard-to-electrify combustion sectors like aviation, shipping, and other heavy industries.

However, in the past, subsidies for such billing-time initiatives have been passed on to consumers, so we may all benefit from ours greener future must pay.
