Bengaluru: Karnataka Water Resources Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi (Ramesh Jarkiholi) has been accused of alleged sexual exploitation. In a CD, the minister is seen allegedly asking a woman to have sex. The CD was released to news channels on Tuesday.
Dinesh Kallahalli, a social activist, lodged a complaint with the Bangalore city police commissioner about this and demanded protection for the victim. After registering the complaint, Kallahalli told reporters that the CD featured ministers who are allegedly asking a woman to have sex.
« The complaint has been filed by me and not by the victim as she is scared and feels a threat to her life, » he said. Ramesh belongs to one of the most powerful political families in the state and is a large Chinese businessman in Belagavi district.
He is one of the 17 defectors of the Congress and JDS, whose defections led to the fall of the Congress-JDS government in the state in 2019. After this alleged whistleblower, the opposition has got a big chance to attack the government.
Seeing the seriousness of the matter, as per reports, Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi has been asked by the BJP high command to resign from his ministerial post immediately. Given the election of five states in the coming days, the BJP does not want to give any issue to the opposition under any circumstances.
