New Delhi. Eid is a holiday in the stock market today. Apart from the stock market, the country’s currency, commodity and bond markets will also remain closed. A holiday has been announced in all major markets of the country because of Eid. Now all markets will open on Friday as per their time. At the same time, the stock market closed yesterday with a heavy fall on Wednesday.
Yesterday i.e. on Wednesday, the stock market was under heavy downfall. The Sensex was down by about 471.01 points to close at the level of 48690.80. At the same time, the Nifty was down by 154.30 points to close at the level of 14696.50. Apart from this, a total of 3,233 companies were traded on the BSE, out of which about 1,587 shares closed up and 1,488 stocks closed down. At the same time, there was no difference in the share price of 158 companies. Apart from this, the rupee had weakened by 8 paise against the dollar to close at Rs 73.42.
