Police are investigating a break-in at the home of an elderly woman in East London (Simon Galloway / PA).

Police called witnesses after five burglars who claimed Having delivered food during the pandemic gagged an elderly woman in east London.
The men entered after convincing the victim to open the door, city police said.
One of the Burglar sat on her chest to hold her while jewelry was clipped from her wrist.
The victim – a woman in her eighties – had a sock in her mouth and was instructed to do the ordeal at her home in Plaistow, Newham not to speak on Thursday evening.
Police were called at around 7pm on Thursday, and it is estimated that the break-in lasted 20 to 30 minutes.
