That’s it for tonight. Two very different games are offered today. One produced a few runs and the other more than 200 in both innings. CSK are again leaders with 3 wins from 4 games played, while SRH scored the first W of the season. Tomorrow RCB will face RR at the Wankhede Stadium. Visit us tomorrow for our more live coverage of the Indian Premier League. See you tomorrow goodbye!

Man of the game, Faf du Plessis: this is probably the most fluid I’ve felt so far. I felt like things were going a little better in the previous game and this is just another step in the right direction. I feel more rhythm, I feel more technically correct, so it was good to get a few runs if you feel that way.

We discussed before the game that the spinners are the real threat because the ball just stops a little. If you look at this game and some previous games, the spinners were the best bowlers out there. Even tonight, Jadeja was one of our better bowls. The ball just grips the surface well.

Ruturaj is a fantastic young talent and it’s great to see him. With those first balls you feel a little nervous and you have to score. Sometimes you can go a little too hard. It was nice to see how he trusted his timing and technique, he’s such a cute timer of the ball. It’s really hard to roll.

I’m very happy that I’ve been playing under MS Dhoni for a long time. It’s always nice to see him at work, he’s cool, calm and collected.
I felt like it was a good game for the bowlers for a while. You saw that Deepak Chahar bowled well with the new ball. But then there was a bit of dew and it became a real hitting game. You see, Andre Russell, when he got into such a situation I looked at the scoreboard and knew this was being done for him. Then he is most dangerous when he has little to lose. Brilliant eyelashes from him and Cummins!

Winner CSK captain MS Dhoni: It’s easy in a game like this. From the 16th the competition was between the fast bowler and the batsman. You can’t do too much. Cannot set any other field. It’s about you versus me. The side that has one is one that has been done a little better. But if they had had more doors it could have been different. Have seen enough in cricket, always like to be humble. There’s no good reason when you hit the opponent can’t score. My line to the players was that we had good runs on the board, but let’s be humble. You don’t want to take too many early doors. Big hitters come in, 200 runs, there’s only one way they’re going to play. There is not much you can do. The only option was Jadeja. It was spinning, a little dry. The eyelash was really good. Rutu is someone who showed his class in the last IPL. You always have to judge where he is mentally. Once when he was unprepared, I just asked him how you are today. When you ask such a question, wait for the reactions and see what is in his eyes. His reactions indicated that he wasn’t unsettled.

Eoin Morgan: A damn good game, right? From the position we were in after the power play, we really didn’t think we would get as close as we did. Andre Russell and Dinesh Karthik really helped get things back on track and once you understand the terms it’s really difficult to end a partnership. And Pat Cummins, the way he played, really gave us every chance towards the end. Tremendous struggle from the middle and lower order, that’s all you can ask for when you lose wickets early.

The emotions during the day were overwhelming. The first five overs didn’t go our way. We didn’t play as well as we wanted. If we had built a partnership and capitalized on it early on, we would have been in a strong position if we had gone to the middle. We can be happy that we did well on new ground and with new challenges.

I don’t think there was a high margin of error for the bowlers, so we have to be a little friendlier with them. Getting hit for 220 and then getting this close despite losing early wickets is still something to be proud of.

I tend to stay away from Andre Russell when he gets out! He’s one of the best players in the tournament when he’s in shape. It’s great that he has played so well lately. It’s disappointing that the rest of us couldn’t help him.

36 – Gayle in front of Parameswaran, 2011 32 – Raina in front of Awana, Mumbai, 2014 30 – Sehwag in front of Symonds, 2008 30 – S Marsh in front of van der Wath, 2011 30 – Gayle before Rahul Sharma, 2012 30 – Kohli before S Kaushik, 2016 30 – Tewatia before Cottrell, 2020 30 – Cummins before Curran, 2021 *

That was tense in the end, but the combination of Deepak Chahar and Shardul Thakur makes Prasidh Krishna start the finale over. Pat Cummins kept the match alive, remaining unbeaten with 66 runs of 34 balls in the end. After five losses, it looked like KKR would have defaulted quickly. Andre Russell, Dinesh Karthik, and Pat Cummins kept hacking, but not enough in the end. The damage with wickets was already done!

Prasidh Krishna is short at the end of the non-striker and Shardul Thakur is celebrating. KKR needed a second run, but Krishna cannot return in time

Sam Curran again in the attack. Has he recovered from the beatings he received in the last run? He has already gone 51 runs, how many more this time? Starts well to get a point. On the second he gets a SIX! Whips it off its pads and it goes past the boundary rope. Desperate times and Chakaravarthy must sacrifice his wicket to try a second run. He is small, well small to go to a duck. Difficult position for Cummins, who gets a single on the fifth ball. One point on the last ball. KKR needs 20 runs of 6 balls

That was tense in the end, but the combination of Deepak Chahar and Shardul Thakur makes Prasidh Krishna start the finale all over again.

KKR needed a second run but Krishna cannot return in time

Cummins sends it to the ground and forces a second. Chakaravarthy was never in favor of it. He tried to send Cummins back, but given the situation, it had to be a double. Just run out

Kamlesh Nagarkoti goes back to get a duck. Sunil Gavaskar is not happy with the strategy of playing the big shot. Expected, rather hoped, Nagarkoti Cummins to return the strike. But Nagarkoti goes to the back of the length delivery and it goes to Faf du Plessis.

DK is classified as leg before. The referee on the field gives it out, but DK decides to check it out. A slower one from Ngidi, once again it’s a good disguise. UltraEdge shows that no bat is involved. Three shades of red on the ball chase and DK has to go back. That hit the stump.

Russell Show is over! What just happened there? Sam Curran comes in screaming and it’s in the stump of his leg. Andre Russell assumes it will go far, but it rattles into the stump. Curran is celebrating and he has every reason to!

SIX! FIFTY! Jadeja pays for the crossing. Comes back to throw the final ball after the players move on and Russell is attacking and attacking well. It’s doing well and that’s fifty for Andre Russell. He achieved 54 runs out of 21 balls

Five for KKR! They’re falling like dominoes now. Ngidi gets his first wicket from IPL 2021. In short, Tripathi puts it in the gloves of MS Dhoni. Didn’t have the posture to do anything other than what it seems

Two wickets in over. Ravindra Jadeja gets a shot from Sunil Narine and Chahar celebrates. Narine cracks the short delivery and Jadeja moves to his right to take it.

Eoin Morgan is leaving! Deepak Chahar gets the ball to lean over the left-handed, and the lightest of edges carry to MS Dhoni who comfortably holds on.

Nitish Rana leaves. Top of Rana to Deepak Chahar and MS Dhoni runs along to collect them. The CSK skipper stumbles easily but maintains the balance and composure to make it in the end.

What a start for CSK and Deepak Chahar. Shubman Gill can’t get up to the height and that was a very passive shot. Golden duck for GIll as Ngidi comfortably takes the catch.

Although Pat Cummins leaked left, right and down the middle, he receives the ball for the final. The first ball is great, it’s a point but the second is absolutely hammered by du Plessis for six! Pumped over long-off with serenity! A period follows and then du Plessis pulls a bouncer over a square leg for another six !! Excellent eyelash, it’s only six to a century away. Oh no wait, he took a single and with just one ball left it doesn’t look like he’ll hit a hundred. Nevertheless, this will be remembered by the CSK fans for a long time! Ravindra Jadeja, to play the very last ball, what can he do? Well he can hit it for a six! It is hit right at Rana on the Midwicket border, who throws the catch out big and finally flings it alone over the boundary rope. The way KKR played tonight, you’d think they got money to win the CSK. Anyway, it’s a pretty impressive total of 220/3 from CSK. You did well in putting yourself in the best position to win this match. We’ll be right back while KKR prepares to chase that daunting amount.

OUT! What a catch, Eoin Morgan, take a bow! It’s hit hard and deep, but the Englishman comes down well and holds onto it for his dear life. Dhoni is gone! MS Dhoni c Morgan b Russell 17 (8)

OFF! One hit too many from Mooen and he misses a shot only to be hit by Karthik’s lightning-quick hands. Moeen Ali St. Karthik b Narine 21 (12)

FIFTY! Du Plessis opens his body and sends a limit far away to raise his fifty!

OFF! Ruturaj Gaikwad looked untouchable out there, but he leaves after he’s caught! Ruturaj Gaikwad c Cummins b Varun 64 (42)

IPL 2021, Live Cricket Score, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) v Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH): Correct, 21 out of six. The game is in KKR’s pocket unless Russell throws a terrible bowling here. And he holds on to it, apart from the final delivery, which sailed no more than the middle of the wicket. Still, KKR has the last laugh. They beat SRH by 10 runs.
