Leah McSweeney’s « crazy » party that premiered « The Real Housewives of New York City » on Tuesday resulted in a front door wait with people clamoring inside, a source says Page 6 is told that the soiree, held on Tuesday at St. Dymphnas in the East Village, had reached capacity early and the doorman had to get the owner to try to prevent people from getting under the COVID 19-related capacity rules.
« The party was crazy, » one participant told us. “Everyone was turned away at the door. I’ve never seen New Yorkers disregard a door person’s boundaries before.
However, a second source tells us that the party strictly followed the COVID-19 protocol and that they were not aware of any drama outside of the bar. We were told that the capacity of the party was 100 people but 175 RSVPd so a bouncer held the door from the start to have a « nice flow » so people weren’t « elbows to elbows » and the party would fully comply with safety regulations.
« RHONJ » star Dolores Catania, former « RHONY » star Elyse Slaine, Lourdes Leon and Azealia Banks, who were taking selfies together, all stopped by the party. </ Other participants included comedians Ziwe, Cat Marnell, Kelly Cutrone, Cory Kennedy, Gabriel Held and drag personalities Lexington Banks and Dot Deville.
When the season 13 premiere aired on Bravo, they saw and cheered everyone at 38 year old McSweeney’s party when she appeared on screen.
