Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Dadar, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Thane, Kalyan, Panvel and Bhiwandi will be hiked. Meanwhile, Railway’s Public Relations Officer Shivaji Sutar said the new tariff would remain in effect till June 15.
A few days ago, the Railway Ministry also announced a hike in fares for short-haul commuters. The short-haul ticket prices of local passenger trains have also been increased.
As many as 6,397 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Maharashtra on Monday, with 78,825 cases being treated. The epidemic has killed 30 people in the past 24 hours, leaving 52,184 people dead.
