The gates opened at 9am on Friday for the 148th Ipswich Show.
He said the show usually drew between 8,000 and 10,000 people through the gates but was expecting particularly strong participation after the show was canned last year for Covid.
« We have fun, activities – so much happens on the first day and every day of the show, » he said.
« Friday evening we have our rodeo and Friday we have the Ipswich circus all day long, racing pigs, a dog jump, fashion in the field with our little dogs, we started the big animal school. »
Mr. Zanow completed the finishing touches on the doors, saying the team was focused on helping the animals to settle on the exhibition grounds.
« We just want to make sure the animals are comfortable as this will be their home for the next three days, » he said.
« It is very important that your wellbeing is 100 percent – it is the main thing we look for. »
