The pursuit of love follows Linda Radlett (Lily James) as she leaves her Oxfordshire life to find true love.
The series takes place in the interwar period and is an adaptation of Nancy Mitford’s novel of the same name, which was published in 1945.
The filming of The Pursuit of Love initially began in spring 2020, but had to be due to the coronavirus pandemic be moved.

It was one of the first drama productions to resume filming in the UK at the time , and the cast and crew were able to resume filming in July.
The entire series lasted three months and took place in Bristol, Bath and Somerset.
Writer and director Emily Mortimer has since spoken about what it was like to film during the Covid pandemic.
She said, « It had its advantages and disadvantages. It was pretty connecting. At first it was something exciting to be around a lot of people after months of not being with anyone.
» In the beginning it was crazy being in rooms with people but it was a great feeling to be back at work thinking about something other than the pandemic.
Andrew Scott, who plays Linda’s eccentric neighbor, Lord Merlin, added, « Ironically, I feel very safe on this set because you know everyone has been tested.
» The crew did an amazing job . She wore masks all day and has to work harder because you can’t read people’s faces. Everyone was so excited to get back to work.
« We were so lucky that we were one of the first after the first ban. »
