River Plate on Twitter published a post dedicated to the deceased legendary footballer Diego Maradona. The ex-player during his career defended the colors of Boca Juniors, the principal rival and neighbor in Buenos Aires, Rivera. The fans of the club were unhappy with the publication and began to leave comments with harsh criticism. “I was proud that my club was the only one who didn’t congratulate him on his birthday, but this…” one of the fans expressed disappointment. “This guy hated us,” said another Rivera fan. “One less freak. Amen, ”wrote another subscriber. The death of Maradona became known the day before. The legendary Argentinian was reported to have died in his home after cardiac arrest. On November 11, Maradona was discharged from the hospital. The ex-footballer underwent surgery for a subdural hematoma. After discharge, Maradona was taken to the clinic for treatment for alcohol addiction.
