Five people died after the collision of a private plane and a microlight in flight in western France on Saturday afternoon
The small ULM was carrying two people and collided with a DA40 tourist plane, which was carrying three people on board
The collision occurred around 4.30 p.m. local time in Loches, in the Indre-et-Loire department, said Nadia Seghier, local government official

Seghier added: « (The ULM) landed on the fence around a house without harming anyone else, (the DA40) several hundred yards away in an uninhabited area
The tourist plane had taken off from Poitiers, located about 100 km from Loches, according to the Mirror

About fifty firefighters were arrested while 30 gendarmes, paramilitary police, set up road detours around the scene of the accident
« Air emergency personnel from Lyon were brought in first to find the plane, which was quickly found, » the prefecture said
No details on the identity of the victims or the causes of the collision have been published to date
