Search underway for 3 escaped Tuscaloosa County Jail inmates


    Authorities did not release any information about how or when the escape happened. They identified the three escapees as Richard Brandon Lancaster, Seth Schuyler Williams and Cameron Keith Newell.

    According to court and jail records, Newell, 19 and of Northport, was arrested in 2019, and indicted in 2020, on a charge of first-degree robbery. Lancaster, a 38-year-old Northport man. was arrested Sept. 10. 2019 on drug charges and resisting arrest. Williams, 27, of Tuscaloosa, was arrested Jan. 20 on charges of burglary, robbery, drug possession with intent to distribute and certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm.

    All three are white males who are between 5-feet, 10-inches tall and weighing 185 pounds. Anyone with information should call 911.
