As expected, the migration into the Trinamool Congress led by CM Mamata Banerjee began in Bengal politics. All the leaders who joined the BJP, not the TMC before the last elections, are preparing to rejoin the Trinamool one by one. Senior leader Mukul Roy, who joined the BJP first of all, rejoined the TMC today.
BJP national vice-president Mukul Roy is all set to rejoin the TMC in the wake of the party’s rout in the last elections. As expected, he arrived at the TMC office today with his son Subranshu. Rejoined the TMC in the presence of CM Mamata Banerjee.
Mukul Roy commented that he was happy to meet his old friends again at TMC. Their leader Mamata Banerjee described herself as the leader of the country and not of Bengal. He did not have any differences with Didi.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Mamata Banerjee said she was happy that Mukul Roy had returned. Mamata said he was not a traitor like all other leaders. Mamata also hinted that other leaders on the path to Mukul would soon be coming to Sontagooti. Her latest remarks came in the wake of Mamata’s nephew, MP Abhishek Banerjee already in talks with them. Trinamool leaders say Mukul Roy’s entry is just the beginning.
