Raipur. Vat Savitri Puja 2021: There is a doubt in internet media and various WhatsApp groups about the date on which to celebrate the Vat tree, as the new moon date in the almanacs is nine and the calendar mentions worshiping Vat Savitri on June 10. Because of this, the priests are being asked by the devotees on which day it would be appropriate to celebrate. Seeing this, the pundits have given the opinion that do not be in the circle of internet media and worship Vat Savitri on 9th June only.

Pandit Manoj Shukla, the priest of the Mahamaya temple, says that some people are deliberately trying to confuse the devotees by writing anything in the internet media by spreading confusion. Whenever there is any such doubt, ask the experts of the Panchang, do not trust the news that is going viral in the internet media. There is a belief among the common people that festival, festival should be celebrated on Udayatithi i.e. the date falling on sunrise, but it is not so.

The coverage of that date is also seen in the festival, not the rising date of the sun. The timing of each fast is different. There are many types of fasting. Like Sauravrat – from sunrise, Chandravrata – from moon rise, Pradosh Kalik – at sunset, Nishith Kalik – at midnight, Parva Kalik – once a year as a festival. As moonrise is important in full moon fast, sunrise has no meaning.

Similarly, Ganesh Chaturthi fast usually falls on Tritiya Tithi, but Chaturthi remains at the time of moonrise. There is no meaning of this fast from sunrise. Pradosh Vrat usually comes on Dwadashi Tithi every time but during Pradosh (evening) it remains Trayodashi. There is no meaning of this fast from sunrise.

Similarly, Ekadashi fast is Sunrise Kaalik, Sharad Purnima Moonrise Kakalik, Ramnavami Madhya Vyapini, Janmashtami Midnight Ashtami, Surya Saptami Sunrise Kalik, Madhya Vyapini even in eternal fast, Mahashivratri Puja at midnight in Nishith Kaal, Mahakali Puja in Nishith Kaal in Deepawali There is a law to do.

Acharya Swami Rajeshwaranand Saraswati of Sureshwar Mahadev Peeth told that the law of fasting for 3 days (ie Jyeshtha Krishna Trayodashi, Chaturdashi and Amavasya) has been told about Vatsavitri fasting. According to the ethos, in most parts of our country including Chhattisgarh, there is a tradition of observing this fast only on the eldest Krishna Amavasya.

According to Decision Sindhu, if the new moon is for two days, that is, on the first day, if the new moon occurs before 18 hours after sunrise, then it is scriptural to fast and worship related to the new moon from Chaturdashi tithi i.e. on the fourteenth day. According to Shri Kashi Vishwanath Panchang, Shridev Panchang and Dharmasindhu, this fast is on Wednesday, June 9.
